7 Wrestlers You Didn't Know Did MMA

2. Ludvig Borga

YouTubeYouTubeShort lived WWE superstar Ludvig Borga may not be the first name you think of when you imagine the UFC-WWE crossover, but he was there front and center during one of the UFC's developmental years, and took on a legend at that. Borga seemed poised for a huge push in the WWE in the early 1990's, as he went unpinned in his 30 singles matches that aired on television while with the company. However, an ankle injury forced the 6'3, 300 pound monster out of the WWE before his push could take off at WrestleMania in 1994. Borga flew under the radar for several years after popping up at a UFC event in 1997. By then Borga had already competed in MMA unsuccessfully three times before being brought into the UFC, this time to take on future MMA legend Randy "The Natural" Couture. Needless to say, things didn't end well for Borga, as he was choked out in under a minute by the highly superior Couture. Borga never returned to MMA following that fight.
