5. Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews was cursed by his physique. Formerly known as Uhaa Nation, Crews developed a following wrestling for Dragon Gate and its affiliate promotions. Given that he was an indieriffic high-flyer who wasn't much of a force of personality, you'd think WWE wouldn't bat an eye at him until he got really famous. Unfortunately, Uhaa Nation is over six feet and jacked, so Vince McMahon and Triple H waved a contract at him the first chance they got.

In NXT, Apollo Crews had a chance to develop his character and get more over so that his skills could best be utilized, but a year into his developmental career, he was called up to SmackDown. It was downhill from there, as for the past two years, Crews has been an utter non-factor on television. He's still a tremendously gifted athlete, but as a personality, he's almost nonexistent, so the writers have no use for him.

Crews has missed out on the huge boom in the independent scene. If he were to leave WWE, he could let loose in ring and finally develop that strong character that's been eluding him.
