7 Wrestlers Who Should Quit WWE

4. Hideo Itami

Thursday evening in Winter Haven, Florida, Hideo Itami wrestled his first match in fourteen months. He teamed with TM-61 to defeat Samoa Joe, Tino Sabbatelli, and Wesley Blake, marking (at long last) a successful recovery from shoulder surgery.

Itami is likely to return to NXT TV shortly - hopefully with some more fanfare than he had before he left. Even though the former KENTA's 2014 signing was a big deal, he seemed to be overshadowed shortly after his debut by the arrival of Finn Balor. It was as if WWE's higher-ups lost interest in the Japanese star.

His only major victory was a win in a tournament final to earn a spot in the WrestleMania 31 Andre the Gian Memorial Battle Royal, and he was eliminated from that match unceremoniously.

If Itami left WWE tomorrow, he could be a major player in New Japan Pro Wrestling the very next day. The company still delivers the best wrestling product in the world, but it's aching from the losses of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Kota Ibushi. Itami would fit into the top of the card seamlessly, and an eventual dream match with Kazuchika Okada could even be a Wrestle Kingdom main event.
