7 WWE Hell In A Cell 2020 Impulse Reactions

4. Otis Vs. The Miz

It was in the pre-match interview with Otis that Tucker flashed his partner just a little bit of stink-eye, and it'd be in another backstage chat where he fleshed out why. That exposition highlighted the rush they're in to do that feud, or at least establish the latter's status as a heel now they're on different shows.

Ultimately, WWE achieved a goal they'd apparently been wanting to for a while - going back on a banter decision made in May, the Money In The Bank briefcase was taken away from comedy character Otis and returned to a performer that did much with it a decade ago.

The Miz felt like a more appealing prospect with the golden ticket the second he held the prize aloft, quickly diverting attention from a turn that will probably condemn the Heavy Machinery men to midcard purgatory by the end of the year.

None of this has been Otis' fault, but WWE will do well to remember the gravity of the booking decision at next year's ladder spectacular. They found solutions, but these were problems of their own making.
