7 WWE Stars Harmed By Feuding With John Cena

2. Rusev

Going into 2015, Rusev was arguably the most exciting young heel on the roster. He had a whole host of momentum, winning the United States Championship and going almost a year without being pinned or made to submit. Then, John Cena happened. Sound familiar?

Cena and Rusev battled at WrestleMania 31, and despite Rusev entering the arena on a freakin' tank it was still Cena that came out on top, making Rusev and Lana look foolish in the process. The two went at it further in a Russian Chain Match as well as an 'I Quit' match, a loss that led to Rusev and Lana splitting and embarking on the godawful Ziggler-Summer-Rusev-Lana love quadrangle.

Rusev's initial tainted win over Cena was forgotten, as Big Match John took the four-match series 3-1. Rusev hasn't been the same since and may never be the same again.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
