7 WWE Stars Who Will Win Future Royal Rumbles

1. Finn Bálor

What a weird year 2016 was for Finn Bálor. Bálor dominated NXT, only to lose the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe ahead of being drafted to RAW when the brand split returned in July. He immediately made an impact, pinning Roman Reigns clean on his first real night before going on to defeat Seth Rollins at SummerSlam to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. This sweetness immediately turned sour however, when news broke that Bálor was injured and needed surgery.

Could Bálor return in time to win the 2017 Royal Rumble? Possibly, but it is still somewhere in the realm of fantasy booking. Upon returning to action, Bálor may not receive the royal treatment he was afforded during his early days on the main roster. Feuds with Chris Jericho, Rusev and the like may well entertain him for the majority of 2017.

Even so, with such strong backing in important areas it is clear that Finn Bálor is going to be portrayed as a major star by WWE. Whilst not as young as one would assume, Bálor will be a main event fixture for years to come, such is the talent of the Irishman. He is yet to scratch the surface of what he is capable of in WWE, and a Royal Rumble win almost feels like an inevitability.
