7 WWE Superstars Who Were Probably Alcoholics

1. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

This is an obvious number one choice because Austin is the one professional wrestler that made drinking beer and kicking ass famous. As I mentioned earlier, Sandman is a guy that was doing the same thing in ECW, but Austin made it a worldwide phenomenon. Fans absolutely loved him because he was kicking the ass of his boss Vince McMahon, running roughshod over everybody in his path and having beers in celebration after he did it. If you went to a WWE event that Austin was on whether it was on TV or simply a house show then the chances are you were able to witness a beer bash. He would take two at the same time, smash them together and drink them. Sometimes others would drink with him. A lot of the time when that happened that person received a Stunner. It didn't matter if the person was good or bad. Fans just wanted to see Austin beat people up. The most famous moment of Austin with beer was when he brought a beer truck to the ring and drenched Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon and The Rock in beer prior to the WrestleMania 15 showdown that Austin had with Rock. Unfortunately for Austin, there was a time in his life in 2002 when alcohol was a problem. He was charged for hitting his wife Debra in a domestic incident. He didn't go to jail for it, but part of his punishment was he couldn't drink beer for several months. They even mentioned it on WWE TV when he was in the GM role, but then he started drinking again much to the delight of the crowd. These days Austin is mostly a podcaster, but he often talks about drinking. The last time he was on WWE TV was at WrestleMania 30 and he shared some beers with The Rock and Hulk Hogan that night. It was one of the most memorable moments of this year's event.
