7 WWE Superstars With Crazy Workout Routines

5. Triple H

Much like the Rock before him, Triple H€™s methods don€™t look like your usual pro wrestling workout techniques. In fact, the Game recently enlisted the help of the highly-rated personal trainer Joe DeFranco, who has actually incorporated and adapted a number of workouts straight from the NFL and into Trips€™ own training. Triple H himself speaks of how he recently realised that at his age he would need to adapt his methods. He looked to add speed, mobility and flexibility to his pre-existing size, and this was never truer than in the build-up to his WrestleMania XXX showdown with the smaller, more nimble Daniel Bryan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uw8qTEoNumE DeFranco gets technical with talk of training designed to €œexcite the higher threshold motor units which are the fast-twitch muscle fibres responsible for explosive activity€, and we see Triple H using similar methods that the Rock used to employ, such as lateral movements and box jumps. The on-screen COO also borrowed ideas from even further afield, working with boxing specialists Elmo Serrano and Hector Rocca in Ney York to improve his speed, reflexes and elusiveness. Sure, the above video may be produced in kayfabe, but that doesn€™t take anything away from the varied exercises that Triple H has started incorporating as he deals with the challenge of extending his in-ring career beyond his mid-forties.
