Speaking of the 2011 Survivor Series, Punk would begin his memorable WWE Championship reign that evening, but not by competing in the main event. That honor belonged to John Cena and The Rock as well as The Miz and R-Truth.

Despite his role as a comedy wrestler these days, R-Truth can actually call himself a multiple-time Pay-Per-View main-eventer as the real-life Ron Killings has closed several WWE shows. In addition to the 2011 Survivor Series, Truth main-evented Capitol Punishment event in June of the same year.

R-Truth had a great 2011, but his first brush with the main event actually came the year before as part of Team WWE at SummerSlam.

John Morrison was another surprising member of Team WWE in the main event of SummerSlam 2010.

While Morrison never quite reached what many considered to be his full potential in WWE, the SummerSlam 2010 main event showed fans that Morrison could hang at the top of the card, as he would return to that same spot at Extreme Rules 2011 as part of a Triple Threat Match for the WWE title.

Neither Morrison nor Truth were asked to anchor the entire show, but it was still a feather in the cap of both men to be slotted in as part of SummerSlam's main event.
