7 WWE Wrestlers Who Deserved Better At WrestleMania 33

7. Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is in a strange place right now.

Many predicted WrestleMania 33 cards, thrown together at the end of 2016, had Lynch defending the SmackDown Women's Championship against Nikki Bella, a match that conceivably could have seen the end of Lynch's long run with that championship.

As it transpires, Lynch will be involved in a match for that title, but she will be joined by every other member of the SmackDown Live women's division (with the exception of Nikki Bella).

WrestleMania is all about competitors being thrown into multi-person matches in order to get everyone on the card, but Lynch and the championship deserve more than this. Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Bayley tend to get most of the press, but for the formative stages of the women's revolution, it was Lynch doing the grunt work and getting herself over in the process.

Lynch still has enough currency with fans to stand out as the number one babyface in the division, but her being another body in a mass of humanity at WrestleMania 33 helps no one.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
