8 AEW Teases Hidden In Plain Sight

2. Alan Angels Holds A Grudge

Hangman Page Lawnmower
AEW Dynamite

The 24 February 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Matt Hardy orchestrate an attack on his tag team partner, 'Hangman' Adam Page.

This was the moment when a friendly mascot unmasked to reveal Isiah Kassidy, as Private Party and TH2 laid a beating on Page seconds after Hardy had agreed to the Big Money Match which took place at AEW Revolution.

Luckily for Hangman, the Dark Order were quick to come to his aid, running off the heels as they continued to try and convince Page to join their ranks. But in amongst this, there was one minute piece of detail that many may have missed.

That detail was Hardy being confronted in-ring by an enraged Alan Angels. Just why was V of the Dark Order so pissed off at Matt Hardy? Well, for those who keep up with Being the Elite, the seed had already been sown for this confrontation.

On Being the Elite #242 from nearly three weeks prior, the Dark Order were seen making Valentine's Day cards. For Angels, he opted to make a card for Hangman in an attempt to have him fully join the Dark Order. V nervously approached Page, fluffing his lines and fumbling around before the former AEW Tag Team Champion took his leave.

Realising he'd missed his moment, Angels delicately placed his heartfelt Valentine's Day card in the pocket of Page's nearby jacket. The thing is, Matt Hardy would later arrive and tear the card up before Hangman could find it - which is why V was so irate when he saw Hardy weeks later.
