8 Attitude Era Lessons WWE Can Learn Today

7. Storylines Top To Bottom

Besides the aforementioned gimmicks, the Attitude Era excelled at involving nearly every star in some sort of storyline -- no matter how major or minor. As previously mentioned, Kai En Tai will undoubtedly be forever remembered for their attempts to castrate Val Venis. And while that angle was definitely not the central focus of the Attitude Era€™s programming, it was given its proper time and due on television. In the current world of WWE, many wrestlers are left without any sort of story -- let alone a meaningful one. There will always be ongoing angles for the top guys and even some decent stories for a decent number of the company€™s midcarders. However, there currently seem to be a great number of WWE competitors that are left without any sort of purpose -- we€™re looking at you, Zack Ryder. The Attitude Era was like a great vaudeville show. If fans didn€™t like the opening act, there were always the clowns to give them a laugh or the sword swallower to wrack their nerves, and at the end of it all, they got to see the finger-raising Texas Rattlesnake do battle with his evil boss. There was something for everybody, and each wrestler served a purpose. Now, it seems many competitors are left out in the cold, largely forgotten and wandering aimlessly about.
