8 Awful Lessons WWE Programming Has Taught Fans

8. Steve Austin Tells Us To Slack Off

If there€™s one thing we can learn from the Steve Austin and Vince McMahon feud, it€™s that we shouldn€™t have to follow the rules if we really don€™t want to. In fact, why follow the rules when a simple kick, wham, and stunner will eventually lead to multiple championship title shots? WWE President Vince McMahon asks Stone Cold Steve Austin to stop flipping off the fans and swearing in front of the live crowd. This was actually a pretty reasonable request considering that up until that point the WWE was a family friendly show and Vince McMahon had a company to run. All Stone Cold Steve Austin proved was that if your boss tries to make you follow the rules and you don€™t like those rules, it€™s acceptable to give him the finger and then beat him up. Not only is it acceptable, but be prepared for everyone around you to erupt in cheers and all the big promotions you'll be getting. We've all had the co-worker who always complains about the rules and slacks off. You're always the one who picks up that slack because you know that hard work and following the rules leads to bigger opportunities. Imagine that you had that job for years and you've been following the rules, but never seem to get that promotion you always wanted. Then the slacker did. That€™s your hero, ladies and gentlemen.
