8 Awful WWE Feuds That Choked The Life Out Of Fans

8. Jerry Lawler Vs. Michael Cole

If WWE wanted to give Jerry 'The King' Lawler a WrestleMania match, then it should have happened between 1993-96, not in 2011. A full 18 years after his debut in the company, the legendary announcer finally got his 'Mania match. It's just a shame it had to come against non-wrestling Michael Cole.

Had WWE limited issues between Cole and Lawler to just this one match, then things might not have been so bad. That wasn't the plan though. Get this, Cole's nausea-inducing, Lawler-hating schtick extended beyond WrestleMania XXVII for at least another couple of months. Fans were even 'treated' to a tag match pitting Cole and Jack Swagger against Lawler and Jim Ross at Extreme Rules.

Not content with stinking up cards with such nonsense, WWE again put Lawler vs. Cole on a third consecutive pay-per-view by booking a 'Kiss My Foot' disaster at Over The Limit. The event name was fitting, because you'd have to be under the influence to sit through this one.
