8 Best Masked Wrestling Returns

4. Ravishing Rick Rude

The Z-Man Tom Zenk was bested by a masked stranger at Halloween Havoc 1991. Wielding vicious punches and bearing an impressive physique, this masked grappler was known only as The WCW Halloween Havoc Phantom, or The Phantom for short.

Joining Paul E. Dangerously's Dangerous Alliance, The Phantom was then announced as the next challenger for Sting's United States Championship.

The Phantom would then top off his impressive debut by unmasking, revealing The Ravishing One, Rick Rude, as the man beneath the mask.

Having just completed a four-year stint in the WWF, Rude's arrival in WCW was quite a coup, and he captured the title from Sting a few weeks later at Clash of the Champions, kicking off one of his best ever runs.
