8 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE No Mercy 2017

2. John Cena Takes The Night Off

John Cena vs. Roman Reigns is a worthy WrestleMania headliner, and a bout that could be excellent if it fulfils its full potential. Cena is one of the best big match performers in the game, while Roman is an underrated worker himself, and although they're unlikely to produce a classic on-par with John's bouts against AJ Styles, this contest's quality ceiling is high.

Unfortunately, the duo's chances of delivering a complete dud are just as strong. Both men have been known to produce off-nights in the ring, and while Reigns is a better wrestler than any of Cena's other pay-per-view opponents since returning in July, 'The Face That Runs The Place' hasn't exactly been knocking it out of the park lately.

Battleground's flag match with Rusev was horrendous, and John barely broke a sweat while wrestling Baron Corbin at SummerSlam. His recent Raw clash with Braun Strowman was just as half-baked, and if Cena continues down this lacklustre road, him vs. Reign is going to stink. The 16-time World Champion looks increasingly like he can't be bothered, and sadly, Roman isn't good enough to drag a great match from such an opponent.
