On paper, The Shield's bout against The New Day has the potential to be one of the best six-man tags of the reunited trio's career. Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns have a vast back catalogue stuffed with show-stealers, but their opponents' cohesion, chemistry and athleticism should elevate this one to the next level, and if they're given 15-20 minutes, there's no reason they can't match The Shield's old classics with The Wyatt Family, or Team Hell No and Ryback.

Sadly, there's a real danger WWE will instead use this to start heating Roman up for WrestleMania. Survivor Series is often where they'll begin building towards the flagship event, and with Reigns pegged to face Universal Champion Brock Lesnar in New Orleans, it's time to plot a course. The odds are slim, but this could result in a flat, curtailed bout that exists only to put 'The Big Dog' over, which would be a crying shame.

Keeping Reigns hot will always be WWE's top priority, no matter the situation, and while using one of their top trios as a springboard for an unwanted 'Mania main event would be disappointing, it'd be consistent with Roman's push as 'The Guy.'
