WWE fans were jubilant when Jinder Mahal finally lost the WWE Championship. Not only did it take the company's top prize away from a lower-tier worker and place it around the waist of one of the best in the world, but it saved us the torture of a marquee match between 'The Maharaja' and Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series.

We'll now see 'The Beast' face AJ Styles instead, but while this clash is infinitely more appealing on paper, and should deliver the goods if the writers don't get in the wrestlers' way, Brock's tendency to take it easy can't be ignored.

He's WWE's most 'must see' wrestler, and their biggest special attraction, but Lesnar has tanked many an exciting bout by refusing to exert himself. We saw it when he faced Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32, and again in No Mercy 2017's main event with Braun Strowman. 'The Beast' is becoming increasingly inconsistent in his advancing years, so let's hope he brings his working boots on Sunday, as nobody needs to see another potential dream match delivered by his lethargy.

Perhaps working with the consensus best wrestler in the company will inspire him.
