8 Big Questions About HUGE NBC Peacock/WWE Network Deal

4. What Of The Archives...

The press release went with "WWE Network archives, including every WWE, WCW and ECW pay-per-view event in history" as a catch-all for what would be included in the Peacock version of the Network.

We are left to assume this means everything currently available on the existing platform, but what of boring administrative factors such as bandwidth costs or the sort of anecdotal viewer disinterest that has allegedly been a core issue with the service since its 2014 launch?

The Network has, for the most part, enriched the remaining wrestling audience thanks to ease-of-access. Even when the functionality was terrible, digging through the archives may well have been how younger fans deepened their love for WWE when the weekly television show wasn't getting it done.

This will all go unaffected for the time being, but the company could have easily axed all of this back when the Network was under their complete control. Not to foretell doomsday to all old footage, but if anything ever needs the chop, expect all those ECW television shows to be first on the block.
