8 Big Questions About HUGE NBC Peacock/WWE Network Deal
2. Will AEW To Step Into Streaming?
Wrestling fans were relatively well-served by the WWE Network even when the search function was f*cking impossible or functional overload crashed the odd pay-per-view. Could they about to welcome yet more consumer-friendly content?
A slash in price for those moving from the Network to NBC's Peacock service will see those subscribers having half of that disposable income back at the end of the month. Could this be a potential audience for All Elite Wrestling to pounce on?
Without vast archives (yet) and perhaps without the time or resources to put into the amount of original content the WWE Network have produced in the last several years, it'd not be an easy undertaking for WWE, but it'd be a stronger offering two years on from launch.
Every old Dynamite, pay-per-view and Road To...special would be a good start. Being The Elite well organised and archived would be of interest, and there'd likely be plenty of the roster only glad to get time in front of other cameras with the knowledge that it'd land somewhere beyond Twitter's rolling landfill. At $4.99 and with creative perks for those already heavily invested in AEW, it's finally scalable if the company wants such a thing to exist.
