8 Biggest Disappointments Going Into WrestleMania 31
8. We Are Missing Some Quality Matches
If there's one thing missing from WWE lately, it's storylines that people can really get behind. True grudge matches are a rarity in these modern times, but the few that do come along shine all the brighter for it. Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose, for instance, a solid feud that built over a long time and eventually paid off in one of the best Hell In A Cell matches ever. Feuds like this are lightning in a bottle, and when WWE get hold of them, they need to milk them for all they're worth. With that in mind, WWE has dropped the ball big time not once, but twice with this Wrestlemania. The Miz and his assistant Mizdow have had tension brewing since late last year, and fans are invested in it, longing for the day when Mizdow will finally snap and strike back. When Miz assaulted Mizdow two weeks before Wrestlemania, it seemed like we finally had our tipping point. But no, both men have been absorbed into the Andre The Giant match, leaving that feud to play out another day, if at all. With Goldust vs Stardust, it's even more inexplicable. Fans have been waiting for this match for over a year at least, and when brother turned on brother after the Royal Rumble, we finally got our wish. Their match at Fastlane felt a little underwhelming, but it served its purpose as the first chapter of their feud, and when Stardust got Dusty Rhodes involved, it looked like Stardust vs Goldust with their father as the special referee was all but certain. A brother vs brother match with their father in the middle, tortured by indecision? It was a licence to print money. But again, this one isn't happening for some reason. Wrestlemania is supposed to be The Grandest Stage Of Them All, the ultimate place to end all feuds. Why WWE is sacrificing matches with great storylines and significant audience interest is anyones guess, but it's a massive disappointment
