8 Biggest Missed Opportunities From WWE Hell In A Cell 2018

7. No Video Package For Jeff Hardy Vs. Randy Orton

The first match of the evening was the encounter between Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton that was due to take place inside the cell itself. It was a logical choice, meaning that the show would open and close with the cell in action. There was one small issue with the execution of the whole thing - there was no video package/buildup promo to catch fans up on why Hardy and Orton ended up here.

The pair may not have been feuding for that long, but the rivalry grew incredibly vicious in a short space of time which ultimately made a Hell in a Cell match a believable solution, even if it seemed rather premature. Thus, on a night where the feud was to be settled within the barbaric walls of steel, a nice little video promo could have really helped convince all of the WWE Universe that this feud was truly worthy of the cell, while increasing the anticipation for the brutality that awaited them.

The lack of one ultimately made the match seem just like any other obligatory Hell in a Cell outing that this PPV has become notorious for, and it ended up making it seem much less important than the other cell match of the evening - even though this feud was somewhat more personal.
