8 Biggest Problems Facing NXT Right Now

3. Rebuilding The Tag Team Division

One of NXT's strengths has been the clear focus and attention it has paid to wrestling outside of men's singles action. Both the women's and tag team divisions have gotten the spotlight during its tenure, and both are in transition periods right now.

American Alpha won the tag titles from The Revival at TakeOver: Dallas, and I'd say there hasn't been a more deserving team to hold the straps since their inception. On the RAW after WrestleMania, Enzo & Big Cass made their RAW debuts, with The Vaudevillains following suit on this week's SmackDown.

With Zack Ryder getting a little more spotlight on the main roster, the NXT tag team division is looking a little thin. Gable & Jordan will take on The Revival again for sure, but outside of those two teams it seems that Blake & Murphy are all that remains.

How NXT rebuilds its tag division will be a clear indicator of the brand's future. It is no easy task, but a smooth transition from the wildly over teams it had to the future of the division will give faith those worrying about similar problems in the future.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
