8 Biggest Tweeners In WWE History

6. The NWO

Then-WWF fans were delighted to see Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall back in the promotion in early-2002. It had been close to six years since they'd watched Nash and Hall as Diesel and Razor Ramon respectively, and close to a decade since the WWF had been exposed to Hulkamania. Besides, that nWo gimmick? Over as hell.

Despite being cited as part of the reason why WCW ultimately failed, the New World Order were treated like returning heroes when they re-appeared on WWF television. Even though Nash, Hall and Hogan were cast as invaders looking to fulfil Vince McMahon's wish to destroy his own creation, people just didn't want to boo the trio.

That cool factor had followed the nWo in WCW too, but it was most glaring in the WWF. The Order were supposed to be destructive heels, but they couldn't get real heat if they tried. Not even beating up established favourites like Steve Austin or The Rock could convince fans to boo the nWo.
