You might not like the fact he's here, and some will decry Roman Reigns as more of a heel these days than anything else, but listening closely to crowd reactions reveals both cheering and booing. Perhaps this has more to do with WWE's failure to get Roman over as a definitive face, but he is still a tweener.

Remember the 'other' meaning of the term, the one that turns characters tweener by default because they fail to provoke the desired response from fans? Reigns fits into that bracket, but he's one of the finest examples of someone skirting a fine line between heel and baby in modern wrestling. Just look at the way the guy conducts himself.

Occasionally, Roman will act like a braggart in promos and respond to audience negativity. Then, sometimes he won't and will stand up against the bad guys like a stereotypical wrestling hero would. There's no black and white when it comes to Reigns; he's meant to be a face and yet fans treat him like a heel, and that makes him a tweener.
