8 Booking Steps For Cody Rhodes In WWE

7. The Debut

Cody Rhodes WWE
AEW

Cody's debut can't just be every wrestling debut ever. He shouldn't rock up in a sharp suit acting too cool for school, and he 100% should not make some smart-arsed comments about "the other show". Rhodes did that in AEW, and he doesn't need to go all CM Punk debuting on Rampage here (at least not at first).

People aren't daft.

No, instead, WWE should get wild with it and tease things like a Stardust comeback and/or a new polka dot-riddled wardrobe. This is Cody's chance to exorcise a lot of Vince-related demons for his family, and he'll be super-fired up to shoot from the hip during those first few mins on the mic.

It's vital that they don't screw this up by over-scripting Rhodes either. Hand him 15 minutes, tell him he can say whatever the f*ck he wants, book some Stardust/Dusty in polka teases and then let the dude act like the biggest star in wrestling.
