8 Booking Steps For Kenny Omega As IMPACT World Champion

1. Succumbing To Trey Miguel

It has to be Trey Miguel. There's no one else.

By the time we get to October's Bound For Glory pay-per-view, presuming it retains its end-of-October date, Kenny Omega will have endured a significant number of IMPACT World Championship opportunities. He has to be a fighting champion or else his reign will have been slightly wasted.

IMPACT's rebuilding of Trey Miguel since his January return has been superb. They've booked him to look tremendous in all the right places; his AXS TV loss to Callihan didn't matter because he then defeated 'The Draw' in a brilliant last man standing match at Rebellion, and even then he only won after enduring some legitimately dangerous spots. That's why he's the guy.

It would obviously be another banger of a championship contest just because it's Omega vs. Miguel. Concluding the pay-per-view with the entire IMPACT roster celebrating the title win of Trey would be the perfect climax to Kenny Omega's time on top of IMPACT Wrestling. Trey Miguel becomes the new Ace of IMPACT, while Adam Page becomes the new AEW World Champion at Full Gear a couple of weeks thereafter.

Kenny Omega's time as the top champion everywhere has to end at some point; these are the guys to usher in a new era.
