8 Booking Steps To Save The WWE Cruiserweight Title

8. Stop Piggybacking On SmackDown

The first thing WWE must do is realise that taping 205 Live after SmackDown is a terrible idea. It was an awful one when it started in November 2016 and it's maddening that WWE have continued the trend into the new year. Nothing good can come of shoving cruiserweights in front of sparse crowds after all the big stars have already been out.

Worse, this mistake doesn't even need to happen. Taping 205 Live before SmackDown aired would be easy. Don't give us any excuses about fans having to turn up early, WWE. You're already making the Cruisers look second rate by asking people to hang on after the main show they came to see.

Taping before makes complete sense.

Suddenly, people who did show up early would see some cool matches. They'd also react more favourably to the roster because they haven't seen SmackDown's top names yet. It's a win-win situation, one that doesn't take much effort.
