8 Burning Questions That Need Answering At WWE Royal Rumble

3. Will The Seeds Be Sown For A Mizdow Turn?

This has been written several times, but the Damien Mizdow gimmick has a shelf life. It€™s still entertaining, but seeing how WWE took the Tag Team Championships off of them last month, it€™s possible that the company views them as running out of steam. Sure, Miz and Mizdow are still featured in backstage segments and they€™re in matches with tag champs the Usos, but if they aren€™t the champs, then they€™re just a comedy act. The challenge WWE faces is that Mizdow is popular with fans, while Miz remains hated. At some point, they need to break them up, and do it in a way that gets Mizdow over as a fan favorite. Probably the best way is to have Miz berate or punish Damien and he finally stands up for himself. If WWE feels they have milked the Miz stunt double gimmick as much as they can, then the Royal Rumble would be a good time to start planting seeds of dissension in the ranks. Give the fans a reason to honestly chant for Mizdow €“ not just because it€™s fun while he€™s on the ring apron €“ and you might actually have accomplished something with this gimmick beyond its lifespan.
