8 Candidates To Induct Randy Savage Into WWE Hall Of Fame

8. CM Punk

There are plenty of eyes rolling already, and that's fine. Yes, CM Punk is no longer under contract by WWE, and yes, CM Punk isn't exactly on the greatest of terms with WWE, Vince McMahon, Triple H or Stephanie McMahon, but... there was also a time when Randy Savage wasn't exactly on the greatest of terms with Vince, either. This is a huge long shot, of course, but there is a lot that makes sense here. Punk is a well-known fan of Savage, and has emulated him a lot during his career. He adopted Savage's top-rope elbow drop for a while, and has worn Savage-themed ring gear in the past. Bringing him back to induct Macho Man into the Hall Of Fame would be that, and nothing more. He's certainly not coming back to wrestle at any time soon. Not while he's under UFC contract. He would definitely get "one more match" chants at the Hall Of Fame ceremony, but he's the kind of person who would shut that down right away and tell the crowd that the night is about Randy Savage, not him. Announcing that Punk is returning for one night only to induct Savage is the kind of ratings and buzz boost that WWE would love to see. Even people that don't like Punk would hear the news and say "alright, I need to tune in to see how that plays out". As an added bonus, Punk is a good speaker and storyteller, which means that his speech would be memorable. Again, this is a serious long shot, but man, it would be entertaining.
