8 Candidates To Induct Randy Savage Into WWE Hall Of Fame

2. Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan is officially in the "just bring me in for special occasions" phase of his career, and there aren't many bigger special occasions than Randy Savage finally being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. For an event that most people thought they would never see, why not go after the man who was right there for Randy's meteoric rise to the top of the WWF? The time between WrestleMania 4 and WrestleMania 5 was an absolute joy to watch because of the story between Savage, Hogan and Miss Elizabeth. Savage and Hogan started off as best friends and tag team partners, but Randy's jealousy over what he felt was lust in Hulk's eyes towards Elizabeth destroyed their relationship. Some say it was art imitating life, with rumors of Hogan and Elizabeth's friendship driving Savage crazy. Watching the Mega Powers explode on television was memorable to all watching, and they had one of the most heated matches ever at WM5. If Hogan was the #1 guy in wrestling back then, Savage was right there at #2 or even #1B, and Hulk himself would be the first person to admit that. Hogan's name is the one most often associated with Savage, as far as fellow wrestlers are concerned, so this is a choice that not only makes sense, but has to be expected by most everyone at this point. It's a true shame that we didn't get to see Savage going into the Hall while he was alive, inducted by Elizabeth, while she was still alive. There wouldn't have been a dry eye in the building if we got to see that, and there wouldn't be many dry eyes at home, either.
