8 Celebrities Who Deserve A Spot In The WWE Hall Of Fame
6. Aretha Franklin
When you think of WrestleMania III, there's usually four things that come to mind. The first three read effortlessly: Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre The Giant; the much loved match between Ricky Steamboat and "Macho Man" Randy Savage; and the sheer spectacle of 93,173 spectators packed into the Silverdome. The fourth should be Aretha Franklin who gave one of WrestleMania's most unforgettable performances of 'America the Beautiful'. The image of The Queen of Soul belting out the patriotic classic while sat at her grand piano is one that older fans will always remember. The Queen brought a certain class and respectability to a show filled with giants, midgets, hillbillies and freaks. Aretha would return to Detroit 20 years later for WrestleMania 23 in Ford Field, and would sing "America the Beautiful" one more time to a whole new generation of fans. There's already a few Kings in the Hall of Fame, let's put a Queen in there too.
