8 Changes To Make Bray Wyatt A Success In WWE
2. Championship Chase
When Bray Wyatt feuded with John Cena, his goals were obvious. He intended to prove himself as a formidable competitor by taking out the franchise player in WWE. As with any character, Wyatt works best when fans know what he is hoping to achieve.
That sense of direction is something that has been missing from Wyatt's feuds throughout much of the last few years. It often seems as if Wyatt simply selects a random superstar, perhaps by spinning a roulette wheel, and then decides to attack them at the end of a match or mention them in cryptic promo videos.
Wyatt's best period in 2017 was when he became the WWE Champion at the Elimination Chamber event. As champion, he had a purpose, and that purpose carried over to his attempts to win back the gold after he was beaten by Randy Orton. It was disappointing to see Wyatt's reign cut incredibly short at 49 days, particularly as this gave way shortly thereafter to the baffling six-month Jinder Mahal experiment. WWE should turn the Wyatt character towards the pursuit of either Roman Reigns and his Intercontinental Championship or Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship.
With that direction, Wyatt will be a threat once again.
