4. Trish Stratus Is Made To Bark Like A Dog

The objectification of women is something that WWE has seen the good sense to stamp out, with women thankfully being given the same platform and respect as their male counterparts. It has been a long road to this stage, however, with too many instances of women being demeaned on live television.

Trish Stratus initially entered WWE with no wrestling experience, and was used as a valet for the team of Test & Albert (which of course had them named T&A. Geddit?). Stratus went on to become arguably the most improved performer in WWE history, cementing her place as a Hall of Famer and winning the hearts and respect of everybody. But, boy, did she have to overcome all kinds of sexist nonsense to reach that stage.

The week after he made her strip to her underwear, Vince McMahon further degraded arguably the greatest female superstar in the history of WWE by making her go down on her hands and knees and bark like a dog on live television. This simply wouldn't be allowed in today's WWE, as the company continues to distance itself from this level of mistreatment of its female performers. Trish would have her revenge by slapping Vince at WrestleMania X-Seven weeks later, but that was scant consolation for this public humiliation.
