8 Craziest Stories Told On The Joe Rogan Experience
6. Every Joey Diaz Episode
Joey Diaz has lived a wild life. That much is incontestable, but what makes his interactions with Rogan on the JRE so perfect is his impeccable comedic timing and penchant for perfect recollection.
Ever since he first appeared on the 25th episode of the JRE way back in 2010 very little has changed. Well other than Joe's professional studio being a living room couch, and the series of high profile sponsors being a sole ad for a male masturbatory aid.
From his time in prison to the surprisingly long time it seems to have taken him to go be incarcerated based on the things he was getting up to, Diaz has lived through several lifetimes worth of crazy sh*t. Though I suppose when you find your calling as a comedian through attempting to stop riots from irate inmates you're going to have.
But don't just take my word for it. One only needs to look at fellow JRE guest Chael Sonnen's description of his initial interaction with Diaz to learn all you need to know about the Cuban comedian.
"I said to Joey 'how'd you get into podcasting?' His response: 'You know Chael Sonnen,' he wouldn't just call me Chael. 'I mugged a hooker down in New Jersey and set her wig on fire.' It's like there are two moving parts here: First off, I don't know how that answers my question, but now I need to know the story. He tells me the story of mugging a hooker and setting her wig on fire and all of a sudden he blew up overnight. And he goes 'I never knew that I had stories. From the part of the country I'm in and the neighbour I grew up in I thought everyone had these stories' "
When Chael Sonnen, a man who served as a politician, trained to be a professional wrestler, and spent the majority of his working life travelling the world to fight trained men in cages says that you have lived a crazy existence, you've probably accrued some life experience in your time.
