8 Craziest Stories Told On The Joe Rogan Experience

5. Daryl Davis' Incredible Life - #1419

The most recent episode on this list, when musician Daryl Davis came on the podcast last month, he didn't tell an isolated crazy story, but rather explained how his whole adult life has been one.

A kind-of political pied piper who uses his incredible oratory and musical gifts to aid in the disillusionment of many a white supremacist ideologue and deradicalisation of Neo-Nazis across America, Davis has led to over 200 members of the Klu Klux Klan putting down their hoods for good both literally and figuratively.

The podcast is a fascinating listen, and sees Davis explain that his determination to help wayward racists to see the error in their thinking came from having never understood as a child why people would treat him differently because of his skin colour.

Rogan to his credit allows Davis to tell the incredible story of what has become his life's work with minimal interruptions, only interjecting with pertinent questions.

For those who may have turned Davis off during the initial period of the podcast due to his gruff voice as a result of laryngitis, this writer implores you to give it another chance. Davis' recounting of how he ended up being a full-time deradicalizer of racists is fascinating, making for one of the best episodes of the JRE in recent memory.
