'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus has been an indispensable part of WWE in the last decade. He has stayed loyal to Vince McMahon, irrespective of how the Creative team booked him. The Irish Superstar won the tag team championships multiple times with Cesaro while he even held the world title on more than one occasion. 'The Great White' is a former two-time US Champion. However, he has never seized the Intercontinental title in his career.

The rumor mills reported that the writers had planned a clash between the Dublin-based Superstar and Braun Strowman for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 36. Unfortunately, because of some last-minute changes, they had to nix those plans as they left the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion off the card.

A majority of his followers expected the 42-year-old to become a Grand Slam Champion at the 'Show of Shows.' Still, given that the reigning champion, Sami Zayn, needs a new opponent, the probability that he joins the clan of superior pro wrestlers in 2020 is very high.
