2. AJ Styles
AJ Styles' WWE debut at the Royal Rumble was long overdue, and the most exciting part about a star as big as the Phenomenal One showing up is seeing him take on familiar faces like Chris Jericho, and had things panned out slightly differently, Daniel Bryan. Once again, these two are no strangers to each other after clashing on the independent circuit, but seeing that in a WWE setting would have been downright amazing. Looking back at their old matches, Bryan and Styles go together perfectly in the ring and you can bet your life that a match between them would have been fast paced, exciting, and a guaranteed modern classic. Chances are that the WWE wouldn't have put a title anywhere near Bryan upon his return after injuries forced him to vacate two belts in a row, so a midcard feud with Styles which would have no doubt been more exciting than whatever the Superstars fighting for the world title were doing would have been the perfect way to welcome him back and remind the WWE Universe what the leader of the Yes Movement is capable of. While there are still plenty of amazing opponents for Styles to face, it's always going to be tough to accept that Bryan will never be among them.
