8 Decisions That Pushed WCW Towards Ruin

2. Kevin Nash Ending Goldberg's Streak

Of all the people who should have ended the famous Goldberg undefeated streak, Kevin Nash would have been near the bottom of the list.

Having Nash defeat Goldberg after a taser attack from Scott Hall did nothing to enhance Nash's reputation, and totally destroyed all of Goldberg's credibility. This was the biggest opportunity the company ever had to develop a new star, by having them beat the only real home grown talent WCW ever had.

Pushing someone like Chris Jericho or Rey Mysterio to take down Goldberg would have been an extremely satisfying conclusion, giving them instant momentum to push a new young champion. Having one of them take a spear and jackhammer, before going on to win and end the 173-0 streak would have been an historic moment. Instead the politics got in the way and they shot themselves in the foot with their booking once more.

Fun loving and opinionated. Full of random facts, many of which are completely irrelevant. I think I'm funny, hopefully at least one other person agrees. Love dissecting movies, television and video games for others to enjoy.
