8 Drastic Short-Term Solutions To Solve WWE's Ratings Woes

4. Start Setting The Stage For The Rock's WrestleMania 32 Match

If there's one person you can 100% guarantee is going to bring eyes back to the WWE, it's Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. As one of the world's biggest movie stars, anything he does receives mainstream media attention and a high profile match at next year's WrestleMania being set up for The Great One (followed by sporadic appearances similar to when he was feuding with Cena) would ensure that those who have never even watched an episode of Raw may tune in out of curiosity...and hopefully stick around after! Triple H seems like the most obvious choice of opponent for The Rock, especially as there's enough history there - forgetting their storied rivalry, the two had a heated exchange on SmackDown 15 and at WrestleMania 31 - to make this feel like an organic and believable direction to go in to fans who do still tune in every week. While it may feel too soon to start setting the stage for WrestleMania 32, rumour has it that there's going to be a very big angle on next Monday's Raw from Dallas which does exactly that. With ratings where they are right now, having that involve a surprise appearance from The Rock would be no bad thing, and as was previously mentioned, this story being slowly developed along with the chances of an appearance from the Brahma Bull over the coming months are sure to bring in fans and non-fans alike. Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker are still huge draws and Sting can bring in the nostalgia crowd, but everyone loves The Rock, and the WWE has the chance here to build ratings up and up as we head towards next year's WrestleMania by hyping this potential match up until everyone, everywhere is desperate to see it. Now, here's hoping Johnson can find a gap in his insanely busy schedule!
