8 Drastic Short-Term Solutions To Solve WWE's Ratings Woes

5. Fresh Matches

Don't get me wrong, Kevin Owens is awesome, but it's kind of nuts that his matches with The Lucha Dragons have stood out as highlights of Raw for the past couple of weeks! The reason for that isn't because they've been particularly amazing (though they have been undeniably fun), but simply because they're something new. It seems like every edition of Raw is three hours of matches we've seen a million times before, whether it's a repeat of a feud which has been done a number of times before or a match which has been repeated again and again in the space of a few short months. There simply isn't enough fresh content on the show, something which is baffling considering how deep the roster is right now. Instead of dragging out Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt for most of the summer and fall, why isn't Roman squaring off with Dean Ambrose while Bray butts heads with Randy Orton? Those are just two random suggestions, but the point is that WWE programming is repeating too many of the same old matches (how many more times are we going to have to see Neville facing Stardust when he's already delivered A+ matches with big names like Cena and Rollins?). It's no wonder then that people are tuning out on a weekly basis if they've grown used to seeing the same old thing. WWE Creative going out of their way to put together an entire night's worth of fresh match ups would be a huge help in building buzz around the product again and hopefully convincing those sick of seeing regurgitated feuds and matches that there s actually new content to be excited about.
