NXT TakeOvers only feature five matches on the main show, but the event is usually preceded by a few bouts that are taped for television. With that in mind let’s go with two matches with consequences for the crowd in attendance, including a title match and one battle for supremacy in NXT’s most crowded division.

War Machine were shown in the crowd at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia, and many are already clamouring for the former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions to be forced into the equivalent division in WWE developmental. NXT often plays the slow game though, so expect Hanson and Rowe to have to wait their turn.

The same can be said for the soon-to-return TM-61. The Antipodeans have received no small amount of shine in recent weeks, but New Orleans could be too near for them to enter the title picture. The NXT tag division is going to revolve around these two teams and The Undisputed ERA for the next year, so there’s no rush.

This could just as easily be an eight-man schmozz that sees these two tandems team up to take on a motley crew of heels, but I’ll be optimistic for now. War Machine vs. TM-61 for prime position to challenge the champions in an excellent TV match over summer.
