8 Famous Wrestlers Whose Last Matches Were A Total Disaster

1. Yokozuna

Heroes of Wrestling was a one-off event back in 1999 that has become somewhat infamous for featuring what's quite possibly the worst main event to ever be put on Pay-Per-View. That's not hyperbole. And yes, that includes Sting vs. Hogan at Halloween Havoc and Undertaker vs. Fake Undertaker at SummerSlam. What makes this even more impressive is that it wasn't even supposed to be the main event.

The show was an unhinged debacle from start to finish, but the main event was several levels beyond a calamity. Because this event was during the middle of Jake "The Snake" Roberts' infamous (and treacherous) battle with drugs and alcohol. So, basically imagine that Sting vs. Jeff Hardy match, but if it dragged on for 15 minutes.

The match was booked to be Jim Neidhart vs. Jake Roberts, followed by King Kong Bundy vs. Yokozuna. But Roberts decided to actively ignore the fact that he was participating in a wrestling match and practically took a nap during the middle of it. Because Roberts was so intent on dragging his drunken shenanigans out, the promoter had completely change the finish, sending Bundy and Yokozuna out to turn it into a makeshift tag team match.

Aside from looking incomprehensively overweight, Yokozuna really didn't do anything wrong. He was simply the victim of terrible timing. And a demon-filled Jake Roberts.
