Triggering a chant that felt almost like intentional bullying before WWE paid it off by providing a 'Beast' to do the battering, the company's thirst for hatred was magnified by a John Cena pouring his heart out to a post-WrestleMania crowd.

Taking centre stage for the closing moments of the Raw after WrestleMania 28, 'The Champ' was looking inside himself for the first time in forever after losing to The Rock, but the moment of introspection was designed to generate a monster pop for the surprise return of Lesnar to the company for the first time since his acrimonious 2004 departure.

Instead, the audience were too excited to go in two-footed on 'Big Match John'. One fan screamed "you're a loser", and the line seemed to have a ripple effect until everybody in the crowd got in on the action. By the time Brock planted him with the first F5 in years, he was doing so on a pile of dirt dug by the attendees themselves.
