8 Funniest Wrestling Fan Heckles

4. Chris Jericho's Geography Lesson

Ultimate Warrior

Funnier for the response than the heckle itself, Chris Jericho's reply to a fairly lazy dig at Survivor Series 2009 elevated his match, his status and even the crestfallen fan.

Jericho and tag team titleholder partner Big Show were double-teaming The Undertaker when a ringside voice wailed out "go back to Toronto" to the former World Champion. Midway through rolling 'The Deadman' back into the ring, Jericho shot back "I'm from Winnipeg you idiot!", creating a pre-Bubbly online sensation that has stuck with him even longer than the look he was sporting at the time.

A total package heckle from original delivery to superb off-the-cuff rebuff, it's easy to see why this became an instant hit when it did. WWE's homogenisation has been a long and arduous process, and it was well underway by 2009. A little flare from Jericho here stuck out on an increasingly over-produced show, especially because of how well measured the reply was.

Idiot is safe, the correction was valid, and the moment was real. Yet again flexing his excellent wrestling instincts, Jericho played a blinder.
