8 HUGE WWE Evolution Predictions You Need To Know

5. Io Shirai Vs. Toni Storm

The Mae Young Classic final looks outstanding on paper. It's two of the five best women's wrestlers in the world going head-to-head in what will be the biggest match of their careers to date, and an opportunity for both to shine before a colossal main roster audience. If allowed to operate without restrictions, Shirai and Storm will blow the roof off the Nassau Coliseum and likely steal the show from Evolution's bigger names, but whether they're actually permitted to do so remains to be seen.

This is a Triple H match on a Vince McMahon show, and there's every chance the Chairman will expect Shirai and Storm to adhere to the main roster's limitations. The bout will be a lot worse off if that happens, so let's hope Vince steers away from it, lets his son-in-law control traffic, and the match is everything it should be.

That the injured Tegan Nox was pencilled in as Toni's original opponent doesn't bode well for Shirai. An upset isn't impossible (Io is one of the best in the world, after all), but it's unlikely.

Winner: Toni Storm.
