It always had the potential to work, but Enzo Amoré's migration/demotion to the Cruiserweight Division hasn't just reignited interest in a character they're attempting to punish, but also a league and show few if any fans even cared about.

None of the above is a slight on the outstanding work of Champion Neville of course. An utterly magnificent titleholder potentially robbed of a record reign thanks to a senseless hotshot with Akira Tozawa shortly before SummerSlam, the 'King Of The Cruiserweights' has made chicken salad with bigger piles of chicken sh*t than the 'Smacktalker Skywalker', and it'll be a surprise if he can't do it again on Sunday.

Brilliantly, the contest even has a story beyond being just a token title match. Unusually self-aware of his limitations, Enzo has taken the Eddie Guerrero route of lying, cheating and stealing his way to prominence on 205 Live in his short stint on the show, and will almost certainly try and fail to do the same again at No Mercy.

A test for both, Neville's job will be to subvert the tale so he's still a dominant heel, especially in retaining the belt which he currently has to do. There may be a day down the road for Enzo to reign but he's still learning, and 'The King Of The Cruiserweights' has an x-factor that can't be taught.
