WWE need only look to one of their very best matches of last year to see how easy it should be to book a fabulously entertaining main event here, regardless of the outcome. Outside of the moment of insanity in which Shane McMahon was equal to his entire opposition (because of course he was), the Raw Vs SmackDown Survivor Series scrap featured all three members of The Shield doing very Sheild-y things, despite the blue/red divide they then straddled.

Kurt Angle's sudden involvement changes everything, but perhaps it changes absolutely nothing at all.

As it had been before the blockbuster change, we could have expected the three heroes to pick off their five foes using the gang mentality as they had done so successfully in their original incarnation.

Little need to change, and crazy Kurt is probably only to happy to literally dive in where Roman perhaps wasn't so keen. The match was destined to be a chaotic stunt-n-bump show though, so hopefully that can be maintained without the accidental by-product of the Olympic Gold Medallist's health diminishing in the process.

2017 is wrestling's maddest ever year without question, but this pay-per-view will have an odd early-2000s ending. Expect Kurt to pin Kane as the six other nearly men just try not to be blinded by the glare of their genuine superstardom.
