Having worked almost non-stop for the best part of seven years the last thing you'd expect Kurt Angle to ask for was a bit of time off to recover. How ridiculous is that? (It's hard to convey sarcasm while typing.) Whether he was busting his rear end in the ring during countless show-stealing matches or participating in a managerial role while hurt, the Olympic gold medalist never failed to disappoint. It didn't take long for WWE fans to recognise Angle as one of the greatest of all time as his incomparable skills in the ring were complimented with progressively solid skills on the mic. In 2006, WWE inexplicably let Angle free from his contract after scrapping any planned negotiations after rejecting Kurt's request for some time off to heal. It's seems Vince McMahon thought The Wrestling Machine was exactly that, a machine. Sometimes we all need reminding that these larger than life super athletes are human like all of us. McMahon must have spent the last nine years losing his mind over Angle's departure.
