8 Last Minute Changes That Could Save WWE Clash Of Champions 2017

6. Establish The Riott Squad

If WWE wasn’t going ahead with the unnecessary lumberjack match, it would free up the rest of the women’s roster to fill out what is looking like a flimsy card at best. Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan made their debut on SmackDown Live recently, and are still in need of establishment. Having the Riott Squad be a part of a predictable ringside brawl is not a way to succeed there.

The trio should absolutely be going up against Naomi, Carmella and Tamina in six-woman tag team action. The match almost writes itself - the newcomers need a big won but face a tough task against three vastly more experienced (in WWE terms) opponents. However, the trio are unlikely allies, each with a different agenda. They obviously won’t get a long.

The Riott Squad pick up the victory, Namoi and Tamina can start a little television program, and Carmella gets a match in before cashing-in on Charlotte later in the evening. This should be happening, but instead the six will be involved in a lame brawl before the aforementioned moonsault from The Nature Girl.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
